Engaged

Recently on our vacation to Paris, Ant proposed to me after 7 years of living together.
"Was it a surprise", is the most asked question.
I have been previously married, and actually still legally married, delayed over 7 years due to property issues and the avoidance of drama and or stress.

 In the 1st 5 years of our realtionship I told Ant that I had no interest in marriage or children.
since then, all of our friends and his family have had lots of baby's and we have attended many of their weddings. Ant at 36 and me turning 40 this year, seemed to nag at him about where we were going and what our future plan would be. I would be content just "Being". He however has not had the chance to experience those aspects of life that I already have, It didn't seem fair of me to rob him of that. After much talk about kids and marriage, I opted for marriage with out babies. I would understand if he needed to leave the relationship, due to the need to fathering children. That decision is a make it or break it deal for a lot of relationships.

I'm also not a conventional woman who has always wanted a big white wedding.
It will be small and discreet, if anything something fun, maybe even themed.

So yes I knew we would be getting married/engaged eventually, However I did not expect it on our vacation.
