Above is a very old shot of me being reacquainted with one of my most favorite foods from my childhood.Whole belly fried clams!
I am a native of Boston, somehow stuck in Philadelphia, Where whole belly clams are illegal. Illegal due to the time seafood sits on a dock before it arrives at the city of destination. You need to be Sea Side or Bay side to get these and eat them safely.
1st of all what is a Whole belly Clam? It is a whole clam not just the strip and it is fried to perfection. I have to admit it is an acquired taste. not for everyone.
This Friday i set off for a road trip from Philadelphia to Cape Cod, Yarmouth to be exact. for a 3 day weekend of Fried Clams, Lobster rolls, Fried Haddock ( a white Fish prevalent in New England )and a little Clam Chowda!
and possibly any Portuguese sausage i can find.
That complied with lots of great scenes to shoot, and the change of foliage to take in makes me a happy camper.
